Currentley Reading
It is taking everything in me to read this latest book, Sins of the Heart, and not that it is not a good book because it is. It is just moving slow and I am person who likes fast action. The review should be in a day or two and then on to something else.

Pleasure Unbound (Demonica Series Book 1)
Pleasure Unbound By Larissa Ione
Back Cover Synopsis:
Tayla Mancuso is a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure--but fears it will always be denied her. Until she lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.
Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his quest to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable--and let Tayla possess him, body and soul. . .
This is the second time that I have read this book and tried to write the review on it and it has nothing to do with the book as to why I have been unable to do so. Life, unfortunately has gotten in the way and I am just now starting to straighten things out to the point where I can start doing what I love and that is reading my books and writing about them. So with out further ado, here is my review. . .
Eidolon has worked his whole mature life creating something that can help demon kind. Underworld General Hospital is a place where any demon can go and get help. Eidolon has poured everything into making the hospital the place of his dream, but all of that is about to change when the worlds most unlikely patient is brought through the ER.
For Tayla, it was just another night in the service to the Aegis demon slayers. But Tayla has been hiding a very serious secret that got another slayer killed and put her in the hands of her mortal enemies. Instead of killing her though, they healed her and she can not figure out why. She also can not figure out why this doctor who saved her life shakes her world so completely that she forgets everything she is and everything he is and gives into her passion.
Eidolon is close to the final stage of his maturity where if he doesn't find a life mate, he will become a sex crazed monster whose only goal in life is to spread his seed. When Tayla starts to awaken thing in his, he writes it off as the change is effecting him instead of admitting what is really happening between him and a slayer. Even when she knocks him out and chains him to the bed, he can not be mad. Hell, he can not keep her out of his mind. All he wants to do is heal her and bed her. He is fighting everything inside of him to resist her and when he reveals that the reason that she is loosing control of her body is because she is part demon, she kicks him out of her life. Which should be a good thing, right?
Tayla has no clue what is happening to her, between the sudden and more frequent paralysis that is happening to her body and the emotions that are running threw her making her question everything she has ever known. Demon are evil and that is all there is. In hopes of regaining her faith and proving that her life has not been for nothing, she turns on Eidolon and agrees to go along with a plan that will lead the slayers right to UGH. When she is brought back to the secret hospital, she is met with skepticism and understandably so. While there she learns that everything that she has believed in while serving the Aegis has been a lie. Not all demons are monster or hurt humans.
When her own people sent her back into the hospital as a suiside bomber without her knowledge, she changes sides and decideds to save the man and world that saved her. Little did Tayla know that that decision would cause a ripple effect in her life where more and more secrets that she did not even know exsisted would come to life. How will she handle all of this: the betrayal of her people, the anger of her new people, a new sister, finding out what demon her father was, her body shutting down, the emotions that a certain demon doctor keeps stiring in her and the questioning of does he feel the same? Its enough to drive anyone mad! But at least one thing is certain:
"Listen to me." Gem slammed the book closed with such force that Tayla jumped. "Eidolon isn't an idiot. He's one of the most logical, annoyingly intelligent males I've ever met, human or demon. He isn't so desperate that he'd lock himself into a lifetime of misery with a female who might turn on him or who might be a bad mother to his children. Yes, his life and his hospital mean everything to him, but he'd rather die than be bound to a female he doesn't love. He loves you, Tayla."
"I can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. We're Soulshredders, sis, which means that we can sense weakness and pain in others. Eidolon's weakness is you. But you could also be his strength. He loves you, even if he hasn't admitted it , even to himself."
Eidolon knows he doesnt have a lot of time left and knows that he can no longer blame the change for how he feels about Tayla. The only question now is how to make her his while dealing with a threat that could completley shatter everything that he has ever worked for and destroy not only him but the woman that he loves.
This book was a little hard to get into. The first chapter was filled with medical jargin that I didnt completley understand. Once I was able to get past that, the book was wonderful. Every chapter had you guessing on what was going on and the character development of not just the two main characters, but the secondary ones as well, was great and allowed you to get to know the whole world that the story is taking place in. As far as the romantic story is concerned, it is very much a star crossed lovers story like most paranormal romances are and had me wishing that there was an Eidolon out there in the real world for me. This was a great book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I can't waiit to read the next in the series.

Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampire Series 1)
Samson's Lovely Mortal By Tina Folsom
Back Cover Synopsis:
Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him. That changes when the lovely mortal auditor Delilah tumbles into his arms after a seemingly random attack. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his hydraulics - that is, as long as Delilah is the woman in his arms.
His scruples about taking Delilah to bed vanish when his shrink suggests it's the only way to cure his problem. Thinking all he needs is one night with her, Samson indulges in a night of pleasure and passion. However, another attack on Delilah and a dead body later, and Samson has his hands full: not only with trying to hide the fact he's a vampire, but also with finding out what secrets Delilah harbors for somebody to want her harm.
This book is the first book that I have ever read that came with a warning.
Now with a beginning like that, who would turn away. I had to see what this was all about and why the need for the warning so I turned the page and the warning did nothing to prepare me for what I was about to read. . . . . . . .
Samson has everything going for him in his undead life that he didn't have when he was alive. Money, power, close and loyal friends. The only problem is he can't get it up anymore and hasn't been able to for over 9 months. He has tried everything including seeing a psychologist, against his better judgement. After months of therapy and no results, Samson starts to think that all hope is lost until the night of his birthday when a unlikely visitor brings his whole body back to life.
Delilah is a forensic auditor and one of the best in the country. If there is a problem with the company books, she will find it. While on assignment in San Francisco, she finds herself on edge and not quite sure why. While walking to her company condo one night, she is chased by a man that has every intention of doing her harm. Unknown to her as she is running for her life, she runs right into the one thing that will change it forever.
When Samson opens his door, the last thing that he expected was to have a soaking wet mortal fall into his arms screaming for help. Mistaking her for a stripper that his friends hire for his birthday, Samson tries to make a move on the frightened and completely shaken woman who has set his whole body on fire. When the truth is revealed that she is no stripper, Samson is mortified. To make amends to Delilah, he invites her out on the town.
Delilah can not believe that this absolutely beautiful man would be interested in her let alone real. While on their date, that is nothing like a normal date, Delilah is attacked again by the same man. To keep her safe Samson insists that she stay with him to keep her safe. After one thing lead to another and a all night sex session, Samson is starting to wonder why this mortal has such an effect on him and his emotions. He is so afraid to let anyone close to him because of what happened. . . . before. . . . .
Regardless of his cautious nature, he can not deny that Delilah has not only cured his erectile issues but also his broken heart.
Instead of his hunger being sated after a night of sex with her, it had grown. He’d started hungering for her and for her alone. The thought of ever touching another woman suddenly disgusted him. All he wanted was Delilah. And Samson now knew why, even though he didn’t understand anything else. He was falling for her, falling for a mortal.
Samson now has bigger issues that ED. Who is this woman who has had such an effect on him? Who is after her and why? How can he convince her to stay with him and tell her what he truly is?
This book was great. I didn't put it down unless I had to. It had everything that a girl could want from a hot and steamy paranormal romance and I promise the warning lives up to its challenge. I can not wait until I get the second in the series.

I Burn For You (Primes Series Book 1)
I Burn For You By Susan Sizemore
Back cover synopsis:
Battling the dark hollows of his soul, vampire Alec Reynard undergoes secret medical treatments that allow him to bear daylight. Living a double life as a bodyguard, he must also battle his powerful attraction to Domini Lancer, a mere mortal--and, unbelievably, his soul mate. When danger threatens, he kidnaps Domini to protect her but wonders: will she accept the darkness within him--or is she a vampire slayer who's cleverly infiltrated his clan?
I read this series a little out of order. I bought the last book in the Prime Series not knowing it was part of a whole world. When I was done reading it, I was sad because I didn't want it to end, so I went online to see what else the other had out there and found out that I had read book nine in the series. Captivated by the world that I was just submersed in, I ran right out and bought the whole series. I have to say that I loved the first book as much as I loved the last one.
Domini Lancer is a body guard in one if the most successful agencies around (her grandfathers) and is good at what she does. When it comes to business, she doesn't mess around or let personal things get in the way. Even when her feelings and dreams about the new member of their team start to make her life a little more difficult.
Alec Reynard is not who he claims to be. Yeah, he's a Delta boy, an elite branch of the military, but he is also a vampire trying to survive. That's why he was here, to get the treatment so he could keep living his life in the daylight and keep protecting the humans that he swore an oath for. He goes to a secret clinic to get help with his condition. As part of the treatment, he has to get a job to keep him busy. Little did he know that that little task would be his undoing because in finding a job he also found his bond mate.
As if Alec didn't have enough to worry about with the drugs not working, but now he has to be around the woman that he is ment to be with forever everyday and cant have because that would mean introducing her to his darker, feral side that is on the verge of winning his sanity.
Domini is not sure why this guy excites her so, he seems to dangerous for his own good, but has done nothing but be the perfect partner. All she wants to do is protect her client and do her job, but she can not take her mind off of Alec. When her life is suddenly thrown into more danger than normal being a body guard, her world flips upside down as she is saved in more ways than one by Alec.
Domini will be his and after saving her life, he starts to show her just how much she means to him. Even after she discovers who and what he is, neither one can deny what they feel for each other.
People fall in love in less than an instant. Some people fall in love before they ever meet.
"I've been looking for you all my life," he said. "You've no idea how long that's been."
His words hit Domini with a double punch that sent her reeling. He loves me. He's a telepath. He loves me. He's talking inside my head. He loves me. He can read my mind. Can you read my mind?
Yes
After the initial shock of who and what he is, Domini realizes that she cant fight what she feels anymore.
He took Domini's hands and asked, "You love Reynard?"
"Yes," she answered, without hesitation.
She hadn't realized until this moment that she had no doubts, no questions, about what he was, what they had, and what they could build. Even if he wanted her to have lots of babies, when they were ready for them. Besides, Grandpa had been nagging her for great-grandchildren.
Even with this realization, what will Domini do about her love when every time she turns around someone is threatening her life, or his family is butting in or hers is keeping secrets that should not be kept. You will have to see how she deals with all of this yourself. Welcome to the world of the Primes!!!
